Coffee trees are actually a shrub that, left untouched, can grow upwards of 40 feet tall. Sadly, coffee cannot be grown past zone nine - and zone nine can be iffy.

I know that coffee is currently produced in Hawaii, but I haven't heard of any other coffee plantations stateside. If you'd like to grow coffee as a specimen plant and move it inside and outside your home, you can buy several types through the mail-order catalogues like Gurney's.
