Braces can range anywhere from $2,000 to $7,000, usually depending on where you live. If you have insurance, it'll be cheaper of course. Oh, and most dentist probably require a down payment [mine wants $800] and after that you can probably get monthly payments.

I don't think braces hurt, it's just a lot of pressure on your teeth and they ache. You'll get to used to it as time goes on. Good luck.

Braces are not a bad thing at all....I had them myself and I'm glad I did. The cost of it can very depending on what Dental Clinic you go to, the type of dental insurance u have, and the type of braces u will be getting. They don't hurt at all when they first put them in...But ur lips will have a different reaction...they need to get accustomed to the protrusion of the braces.

I'm getting braces this Wednesday. I talked to my doctor and he said that it doesn't hurt at all. The only thing is, your teeth have to get used to it, which might be a little uncomfortable at first. I wouldn't be worried if I were you. And the whole process is about $4000 dollars, but it varies depending on the condition of your teeth.Plus, if you have dental insurance, it would really help.

Mine were 4,000 and no the don't really hurt.. its more of a lingering ache when they're actually moving your teeth but a little ibuprofin does the trick. Don't worry they're not so bad.. I actually missed mine for a while after they took them off :o)

Yeah they hurt when you first get them and also when you go for your checkups to get them tightened. Depends on what orthodontist you go to as to how much they will cost. Insurance will sometimes pay for some of it too.
