Of course not.I'd rather have an experienced person of her age taking care of my kids, than someone young without experience. With experience, comes wisdom.Look at yourself. She did a great job of raising your parent didn't she?Who in turn, raised you. As long as she has her health and is physically capable of doing so,she can care for kids..All it takes is love and lots of patience...Good luck to your grand mother...I'm a granny too and we Granny's are tough girls, with lots of love to give.

My mother is in her seventies and still looks after children. It's something that she loves doing and the children and parents love her (she really cares about all the children's well being and it shows). It also helps with extra money and it passes the time and keeps her motivated and moving
I see no reason why it should be a big deal. It gives them something to look forward to in the morning and they are more apt to ensure they are healthy enough to carry on their job.

No, 60 is not too old. My dad is 60. Im born very late. Despite his age, he still works to provide for me. He has asthma as well. But he knows we love him. You can always take care of your grandmother.

It really depends on the person. It's maybe better for her to take care of non mobile aged kids or the older ones before and after school.

It all depends on her own health. If she is healthy as a horse then go for it. But if she has major health problems and the children would be at risk in any way, like if she fell could she get up. or heart problems then I would reconsider.

If she's still enjoying taking care of children,& can handle it,then maybe just get her some extra help for the more stressfull stuff so that she can feel independant & needed.
