The person that I have feelings for is in a long-distance overseas engagement. We don't even have much in common at all. He's not that mature. He's 25, I'm 24. I'm black. He's Asian. I'm in college, he didn't finish college. I even told him I was falling in love with him since we used to be friends, but he played with my feelings and mocked me for being in luv with him and told me that I was too weird to be his friend and that we should ignore each other at work. I'm not desperate or needy for guys. It's just that I can't shake off the feelings I have for him. My mind is telling me that he is a jerk and he's wrong for me, but my heart is broken.

If he is engaged to someone else, that should be your first clue that he is all ready in love. Its not that he is wrong for you, it is that fact that you can't have him, that makes you feel this way. Try thinking about a future with him, you don't have anything in common, he makes fun of you, eventually when you pass him up in the job market because you finished college he will resent you for that too. So you have a future of loneliness, being made fun of, and of being hated. Me personally, I think I would take his suggestion, ignore him and start looking for guys who are available

I kno wyour heart is broken, but just look at the things he said to you...you were to weird to be his friend and that he was going to ignore you. Not only that, but he laughed at you and mocked you. Doesnt sound like someone I would want as a friend at all, much less be with them. I think you should spend a lot less time talking to him and move on and find a better friend and someone who will treat you right. Friendships sometimes blossom into more. But not in this case...I dont think you will have too much of a hard time getting over this guy. He sounds like a jerk. Just move on, you deserve to be treated better even as a friend.
