As a Christian.
I'd have to say no, God never said evolution is inaccurate.
In fact you may want to look at the theology of tehstic evolution.

No and biological evolution says nothing about God so why so many Christians have a problem with it is a mystery.

Let me put it this way.

In Genesis, God does not create the plants and animals directly. God commands the earth to do so.

And every day, God does not create plants directly ... He uses seeds to create plants (and plants to create seeds).

And He does not create animals directly. He uses complex biological processes to create them ... processes we can analyze and understand in great detail, from fertilization, to gestation, to birth, to continued development ... right to the point where we can watch how a water-breathing tadpole can become an air-breathing frog.

If God wanted to create things instantaneously, He could ... but instead He uses these beautiful, complex processes that are wide open for us to study and understand (and marvel at).

See a pattern?

God has no problem creating things through intermediate agents and processes. In fact, from Genesis, right through daily acts of creation we see every day, it appears to be God's preferred way of doing things ... through intemediary agents and processes that are wide open for us to examine and study. In fact, it seems to be part of our purpose to examine and understand the processes that God uses to create. People who deliberately *resist* understanding of these processes are undermining one of God's purposes for us.

So no, God does not ever say that Evolution is inaccurate. God can choose Evolution as His agent if He so chooses. And He has apparently left evidence, *in spades* (if I may make a literal pun) that Evolution is precisely the method He chose.

People who get hung up on the "six day" period of creation, or counting the generations from Seth to Moses to get a 6,000-year age of the earth are just *missing the deeper picture* of what Genesis is telling us. It is getting hung up on mundane details, and an overly literal reading of them. It is reading Genesis like a child would.

It's time we grew up.

No, because God doesn't exist. However, some religious zealots have made up stories about how the world came about, and they usually contradict reality.
