Why do you need to be saved? Who is going to save you? Try doing that yourself.

It is not a stupid question it is a actually good question. The question you ask is more common than you may think. Here are a few things to consider.

First - It is important to understand that it is not religion that brings you to God, but the Spirit of God. Religions came out of the desire of man to create there own idea of what the gospel represents. Saying this, is to emphasize that you should not focus on religion, but on Jesus Christ, who is the way and the light. This leads to your second question.

You asked why do we need the Bible? It all depends on where you stand. I will answer both your questions in this section to show how they relate.

We can live our own life, because God gave us the privilege of choice. We can choose to go up, down, left, right. Ultimately however, it is the path that you choose that will determine the importance of God and the Bible in your life. If you choose not to accept the offer of Life and Salvation you need not to understand the reason for the Bible, but if you do you will learn that The Bible is your direction and guide through the Spirit of God. It will help you to walk the way you need to walk to overcome the challenges of the world. Take a moment and sincerely read the Bible and you will without a doubt find that it is TRULY THE BOOK OF LIFE.

I would love to have you send me an e-mail after you have read the Bible and tell me what you think.

GOD BLESS YOU

Ever see the old movie (or read the book) "Lord of the flies" ? Religion is where we get our morals, the final word on what is right and wrong. Without guidance we (as a species) tend to descend into cruelty. I guess I like the Holy Bible to use not as a text book, but as a GUIDE BOOK on how to live life. Read for the MESSAGE, not the "law" of it.

Well the main point is that the reality we all DIE!
Our real life starts after death. It's living all eternity .So the quality of this eternal life depends on how you lived your short TEST life in earth.
(Your actions should be rewarded) So the guide to living ones life
fruitfuly and Joyfully and also get guidance to this life and life hereafter
The bible is the single source. The Bible also is THe living book God uses to communicate to his faithful. It has blessings hidden like treasures to those who will read and understand. ( To crudely put things in perspective its like a set of cheat codes to a tough game) Its easy when you know the creator of the game and his
version of the cheat codes)

Simply pray and ask God to answer you in your life day to day

There are lots of Good answers written take them in.This is a add on.

Not a stupid question. You can live without the bible if you like. If you believe in Christ and want to follow His way and become a Christian - that's great. What do you believe in? Do you believe in anything or do you just want everything to be done your way?? Today much of society is sick because they do not have any belief just a me me me selfish mentality. God Bless You!!!!

we need the Bible as a guideline for how to live our lives. yes, we have free will and can choose to ignore the Bible and religion, however that would be a very stupid descion.

because we are not able to live life our selves.. even those who reject christianity always have something to replace it weather it be a spiritual substitute or an ideological one like communism. People need to believe in something. we always have and we always will.. even when we place all faith in science.. that is still a form of belief

VALUES. You can disagree if you want, but this is what it comes down to. Otherwise your values are just arbitrary.
