The main thing is that how people start smoking. Most of people start it for experience that what is in it, many start it for show off,many think it is stress reliever so got habitual of it due to chemicals in it. About 70% people in world smokers dont know that how to smoke or why to smoke they just do it to show others without thinking smoking's ill effect.Remaining 30% person have habbit of smoking, it is the part of there life due to chemicals n nicotine in smoking medium so it is very difficult to quit for them.One can change the habit but not the nature.

As a smoker, it's not necessarily that we like to, but a feeling that we can't stop. People who have a strong addiction like me get a rush of energy when we smoke cigarettes for the nicotine. We're usually the kids who smoked their first cigarette and actually inhaled, starting the process of nicotine addiction. I was 13 years old when I inhaled my first. The nicotine has already rewired our brains in the pleasure center, so that when we go a few hours without a smoke, we become antsy, a little moody, and for me, a strange feeling starts to occur in my chest where I feel like my heart is thudding out of control. It's extremely uncomfortable. Yet when we smoke that cigarette, physically we feel better, but sometimes we don't emotionally. It's irritating to feel the need to smoke every couple of hours, yet when you try to quit, the physical symptoms can get pretty bad, and the heart thudding is almost unbearable at times.
Any drug addict can tell you the same thing about addiction. It's not that people like nicotine and drugs, it's just difficult to stop once you have to deal with that sort of brain rewiring.

Most people started smoking to look cool or be accepted into part of the crowd. Smoking isn't natural so people have to force their body to get used to it. Once your body becomes used to it, your hooked. You have to quit the same way you stated. You have to force your body to live without it. Today they have a whole host of things to help in this area. If you want to quit ask your doctor.

to some its relaxing, its a habit that people find comfort in. and i think that its a bit controversial so that has some sort of draw, you know its bad for you but some think its good to be bad. i dont smoke but used to and every once in a while i crave a bit of that

i don't really know why some people just do it because they want to look cool and not look like a geek or because thier friends are doing it.
I think smoking is just piontless and stupid it dosen't make life better at all it just makes things worse. and there are no benefits you can gain from it.

some ppl like to smoke cuz they're depressed. They want to forget about all the problems that revolve around them. Also, cuz some ppl THINK they're fat and try to lose weight by smoking.

I did it to relieve stress. I have since stopped because of diabetes. Also,monkey see monkey do. If a person grew up around smokers they are more likely to develop the habit.

the most frequent reason is peer and social pressure. another is the effect of cool advertisements showing that smoking is a status symbol giving smokers a cool appeal(which is absolutely false). nicotine in cigarette is highly addictive and it is hard to quit when you have started it already so many smokers who plan to quit need a lot of discipline and sacrifice.

the nicotene gets you addicted. so once you start its hard to stop so dont even try it. but i bet if everybody REALLY wanted to stop they could cause its all in your head, your brain can overcome the addiction and you can stop people just dont know that
