My lips are severly chapped and I was told that drinking water would help get rid of the problem. I don't want to use lip balm. How much water would I need to drink a day to get rid of chapped lips over a month long period. Ounce wise.

yes because it will prevent dehydration (i dont have an ounce ratio- just drink a glass or two)- but dont lik your lips because it will evaporate and dry them out again

Keeping your body hydrated will help, but sometimes I think the lips need a little extra after being exposed to the elements. You should drink 6 eight ounce glasses of water a day.

Drinking water prevents chapped lips from happening because it keeps them moisturized. If you want to get rid of the chapped lips you have now, buy a medicated chapstick, preferably with beeswax or aloe vera, and apply it whenever your lips feel dry. You should apply it when your lips don't glide when you rub them together. Apply it even when you don't have chapped lips in addition to drinking 8 glasses of water per day to keep your lips smooth and supple.

Drinking more water helps a little. Vaseline at night is good. Also take vitamin E capsules. I would say also empty the contents of the vitamin E capsule in a your palm and rub your lips with it. It is an oil but very good for rough skin.

It won't fix your problem anytime soon. Apply a little Vaseline to your lips It will fix you up quite quickly

I think water will help, but chapstick is what you need to stop the pain now.

and if you are in cold weather, I don't know if the extra water will help
