I absolutely hate it when I am playing a game/watching fooball, and see verticle colums of dark pixels in the background. For this reason, i am planning on replacing my CRT tv with a HD ready LCD tv (32"). But before i do, I would like to make sure whether this pixel effect will occur on HD ready tv's. Many thanks

hi,

All crt have this dark line, eithier verticial or hozitionial. Even when not playing games. This is because the picture is been shown in interlace ( on a crt you only get half a picture at a time, the lines you see are the " breaks " between the two pictures.

BECAUSE lcd and plasmsa use pixels, therefore no lines, then when you upgrade you will get rid out those nasty black lines.

Hope this helps wg

You've trained yourself to see those lines......
Now you need to DE-train yourself.....

If you buy a CRT TV, you'll see horizontal lines
If you buy a Projection CRT TV, you'll see horizontal lines
If you buy an LCD, you'll see the tiny SQUARES that make up the picture.
If you buy a DLP, you'll see the tiny SQUARES that make up the picture.
If you buy a Plasma , you'll see the tiny SQUARES that make up the picture.

IF YOU BUY A SONY SXRD series of TV.....THEN you won't see ANY OF THE ABOVE.....

Because it uses LCOS Technology.....no lines, no squares, no nothing......

But you'll pay for it.......

The dark lines you experience will be on what ever TV you get. You need to adjust the picture size.

Sorry we may have misunderstood you. email us.
