There are several moods you could create with color. It really depends how elegant you want to go or how mellow you want it to become.
A soft aqua (a little blue/little green) would be extremely relaxing and mellow. It's warmer than a blue, but not a green. With cherry it's possible to make it elegant or just mellllllooooowww.
A sage green (silvery green) is very soothing. It works great with aromatherapy because the mind is put into an almost pastoral feeling when surrounded by green.
A yellow would evoke energy. It's a cheerful, peaceful color. But it's not necessarily a relaxing color. That would really depend on the shade. I don't know if this room is for you to be massaged in or if you're the masseuse/masseur. If you're the one giving the massages, then understand that yellow is a color that in many people is not relaxing. In fact, with people developing certain mental diseases including Alzheimers it causes aggression.
A soft terra cotta/coral color could be very, very nice. You could put on the first shade as a golden color, then color wash over it with a terra cotta to warm it up and take away the effects of the yellow to replace it with that Mediterranean glow that we associate with a warm sun and relaxing beach.
Another option, and one that has a lot of psychology behind it, is to paint the walls a warm white and use large circles (maybe 18" diameter) here and there, with some overlapping, using 3 different colors...a soft brown/caramel, soothing green and a calming blue. They psychology behind it is that circles evoke thoughts of bubbles, balls and water. Things that are reminders of the happy times of our childhood. They don't bring movement into the room the way lines do (the eye follows lines around...not a relaxing thing). If the person is put in a state where they feel like they're floating in water, then they're more likely to completely relax and enjoy the experience.
Personally, I usually walk into the massage room and the lights are down low, the music is playing softly and the aromatherapy is the real sensation I'm getting. I could tell you the color of the linens on the table (they're a beautiful russet color) but I can't remember the color of the walls. Don't know if it's good or bad...but I have no bad memories of the room....and go there often. But most of the time that I"m in there my face is either in the table looking at the floor or my eyes are closed. So I think the real bottom line is that if you're the person giving the massages, make the room one that you personally enjoy and will be happy to spend your days working in and getting to know your clients.

Green is an excellent color because it symbolizes health. I personally like light yellow and light orange because they are warmer colors. I would stay away from blue or lavender because they are cold colors and are kind of impersonal.
One thing that is important to consider is the colors of your website, business cards, brochures and other marketing materials. All of these should follow the same color scheme and be consistent.

Earthy (taupe, terra cotta) or nature (green, water) colors are the best. Stay away from reds, oranges and yellows as they are stimulating not relaxing colors. Any color that makes your clients feel like they are in a cocoon.

Well, I would go with a dark golden yellow, since yellow is a soothing color.
