is there any way to numb it at all............i have a sterilized hollow needle and a plain belly ring......now i need to know if there is any way to make it not hurt.....and how do you do it.... what are the steps......

alright, all you need to do is get some iodine disenfection wipes (CVS of soemthing) and put a safety pin in a pit of boiling water for like 4 minutes or something then take ice and numb your navel, take the pin out dry it off carefully once your numb push it through carefully untill it gets to the top then wipe it down clip it in and bandage it up it will get sore but dot worry about it :)

It is not worth it and there is nothing that will numb it. You can pay what 20 quid to get it done professionally. This means
1. It will be clean therefore meaning less chance of infection.
2. It will be straight, looks extremely stupid being crooked.
3. It is also better in most cases to get it done with a bar due to catching on clothes.
4. You will lack any of the aftercare information which would be given to you by a piercer.
I know this isn't what you want to hear but it isn't worth the risk. Also with an infection which is most likely as you can not sterilize either can result in big stomach problems including making you infertile and even death. Please change your mind.

you should really go pay the 20/30 dollars to get it proffesional done esp if ytou already have the ring, it may even be cheaper. You can get a serious infection and it is going to hurt no matter what. Your belly button isnt like you ear, if you get a really bad infection in your belly button and take the ring out and let it close the infection can spread into your spinal cord...I was told this by a proffesional peircer. Just dont risk it.

Your really shouldn't do that by yourself. It will hurt no matter what you do. If you do it yourself, you might now put the whole in a good place, it could tear the skin or damage something. It might also look bad. And you can cause a nasty infection. Don't be cheap just pay the $ and get a professional to do it. You need some help, yahoo dosn't have all the answers.

Hmmm....Well, of course my first thought would be to tell you just to go to a professional, but I'm sure you don't want to hear that lol, so the only other thing I can suggest is to use an ice cube...Hold it there for a LONG time....It's not gonna feel good, but it will go numb within a few minutes and you'll be able to pierce your belly without pain...Good Luck:)

don't do it! a piercer has a clamp they use to hold just enough skin. they are trained to know where veins and nerves are, and how to avoid damaging them. they use sterile equipment, as well as numbing medication. you don't want to do this at home. trust me. i tried... and i have some very ugly scars because of it. I'm lucky i didn't get a horrible infection. wait til you're 18 and have it done professionally!
