I requested the night off, (that's 10+ hrs. off my check) -An old girlfriend had a get-together/birthday party, my eye went pink so I got some drops, the second she noticed, she goes STAY AWAY FROM ME!! (I don't blame her,) but I bought her dinner, & at the club, She ordered about 6 long islands, I payed for all of them,(like a present,) I only had about 6 mugs of bud(draft), & I was more drunk than her!- the next day she calls & goes off on me that I drink too much, & what a horrible night she had!!-(I wish I would have worked that night!)

That is just straight up ignorant. That was a nice gesture by you. I know L.I.T.s run about 8 bucks a piece usually (at least by me they do) plus dinner, and the fact that you took off work to spend the night with her. She needs to be more grateful for that.

And 6 beers is nothing compared to the total of 30 shots of liquor that are in 6 long islands.

But the question of bad luck.... nah, just dumb friends.

Another classic example of a guy getting used by a woman.
She got a free dinner, and drank all night for free, and went home without you.
Then she calls you the next day to make sure you understand that she isn't going to go out with you again by telling you she had a terrible time.
LEARN FROM THIS.
Yes, you should have gone to work.

There's no such thing as luck, there's only bad choices and actions. And sometimes things are meant to be, not point dwelling on bad experiences but look to the future and put yourself in positions and with people wisely.

She says stay away from me but doesn't mind spending your money. I would say to let her stay an "old" girlfriend and find someone who appreciates what you do for her.

That's not bad luck, it's poor taste in companions.
