Two tugs on the leash, and a firm command to get the dogs attention, is how I trained my dogs. Make sure that you are walking the dog not the other way around by doing a zigzag pattern or simply walking around in circles in your own yard to begin with, sounds silly but if your dog doesn't know where your going he/she has to watch you to know where s/he is supposed to go.

My neighbor had a lab that would pull really so she got a face harness for her and it stopped it pretty well. I think it was called a Gentle Leader and it should be available at a pet store around you. It's NOT a muzzle, and it's really easy to put on, but it's just a harness that goes around her nose and buckles behind her ears. What makes it work is that when the dog pulls, it pulls their head down before it puts pressure on the owner, so they learn if they want to see where they're going they don't pull. A lot of my neighbors had those actually and they did really well.

There are two products - one is called a Halti and the other is called Gentle Leader. They are head halters for dogs and are very effective at stopping the pulling on the leash from the very first time. The dogs sometimes roll and shake their heads the first time you put them on because it feels funny, but they are gentle and don't hurt the dog and they quickly get used to wearing them. This worked well for one of my dogs and also for a friend of mine with a doberman-lab mix who used to drag her down the street. She had her dog walking at a heel from the very first day.
You can buy them at pet stores and also online.

in lots of instances a harness would not help with administration, in lots of instances it could have the opposite effect. in case you employ a quick lead you've gotten extra advantageous administration and get some thing like a "delicate Lead" head collar which will additionally help. this won't choke your canine. a quick lead on that is own which incorporate a strolling stick stops the canine from pulling. the backside of the stick is located below the canines chin while it pulls and this stops the canine pulling. regrettably you're able to experience slightly daft wearing a strolling stick.

Try a head halter like the Halti or Gentle Leader. Let the teacher at Petsmart fit it. Or a no pull harness such as the Sense-sation harness or the Easy Walk harness.
You can find the Sense-sation harness at www.softouchconcepts.com

Well my mom swears by the show "The Dog Whisperer" and says she learns new things for training all of the time. I bet you could find something there.
When my dog pulls, I pull right back. :)
Good luck

There's many different methods to use. They sell harness for no-pulling at petstores. Also they carry choke chains for training and if it somes down to it they have prong collars for stubborn pullers. That's what I had to use for one of my old dogs.

the halti is amazing for this, its ahrness, kinda like you put on a horse, but when they pull it turns thier head so they dont pull anymore, my dog used to drag me around the neighborhood, but not anymore, he doesnt like wearing it because he looses the control, but I cant be dragged around, also, the dog whisperer on the national geographic channel would teach you a lot.
