How come no one generalizes all Christians as terrorists but Muslims have always been terrorists?

I bet that hardly anyone remembers the Abortion Clinic bombings in the NAME OF GOD done by Christian Fundamentalist groups. And when that happened, did the world classify Chrisitans as violent terrorists? No. So why is it different when it comes to a non-Christian religion? The Muslims didn't send a worldwide message to the rest of the world by saying that all Christians are violent terrorists..but here they are, still bombing these Abortion Clinics in the name of God, secretely and "unknown" by the media, and look at all the discrimination THEY get. Oh, and, by the way, don't tell me those bombings don't exist today. They still do, you just won't ever see them on TV or newspaper because it would make Christians look extremely hypocritical and corrupt, and America can't afford that, now can it!

You can replace the word "Christian" with the word "Muslim" in that sentence and it would make sense. But, like I said earlier, the media has so much influence on others' opinions that Muslims can virtually not be subject to that empathy.

Omer - Muslims have a history of being warmongers that came from long ago. Christians also have a history of killing in the name of God. Todays Muslims are taking the heat for the terrorists fighting in Iraq and all that has occurred since 9/11.

The answer is always the same, whether Christian or Muslim, our belief system, our religion, the people involved in our religion and God and Allah are NOT TO BLAME for the actions of those who hide behind religious beliefs to try and acheive power and control and further hate in the world.

All any of us can do is to do our best to show that there are good Muslims and good Christians and that there are many more good than bad.

Excuse me. But Christians don't bomb abortion clinics. Wackos do. Don't say that Eric Rudolph is/was a Christian. He admits that he personally followed Nietzsche. The so called "Army of God" is also anti-Christian.

There are others who claim to be Christian, but in their practice, go against the historic Christian faith. I can call myself a Muslim, but if I don't follow the Qur'an, say my prayers toward Mecca five times a day, and follow the five pillars of Islam, am I really a Muslim? Muslims would say "No."

Try not to paint with a broad brush as those you accuse others of painting Muslims with.

Any idiot knows that Muslims aren't all terrorists. There's a mosque in town, and I have a good friend who attends there. He's about as quiet and peacful a guy as I know. And he hates every time a wack job does something stupid in the name of Allah.

And, how long ago was the most recent abortion clinic bombing? Just so you know, it was 1998. How long since the last Islamic Terrorist attack? Yesterday.

This Islamic organization makes three important points in answering this question: 1. What are called a "terrorists" by some people are always called "freedom fighters" by others; 2. To the criminal, a policeman appears to be a "terrorist"; and 3. Although Islam is a religion of peace, all good Muslims are required to be "terrorists" against antisocial elements (read: non Muslims) in order to promote world peace and harmony.

Very interesting -- sort of a cryptic endorsement of terrorism under the guise of religious expression. I hope that answers your question and understanding of the world today. There will be Muslim terrorists until the world has converted to Islam. And then they will fight amongst themselves until there is only one sect -- most likely Sunni.

Well, im not sayinf that generalising is right and im deffo not saying muslims are terrorists, its just that bombing the world traide centres with 2 aeroplanes and bombing an abortion clininc are both acts of violent terrorism......but the one is on a so much larger scale than the other.

Dont go digging up old dirt on religious groups. Rather focus on giving your own group (if you are a muslim) a better name. There is as much dirt to dig up on muslims as there are on Christians. Even though people are from different religions, no one is perfect, they are all humans, they all make the same mistakes and in the same quantity.

I, as a Christian, hardly feel hypocritical and corrupt because some nut blows up a building. And for someone to say that all Christians think blowing up buildings is fine, is sadly mistaken and they are the corrupt ones, for judging all people for the actions of a few. The problem that Muslims have is that they don't speak against these fanatics in their religion. All, we see in the west are Muslims rioting over a cartoon drawing or screaming to kill the infidels. You don't see hoards of Christians doing that in North America. I don't remember every seeing Christians in this country shooting guns off and screaming to kill the infidels. I don't believe that all Muslims feel this way but sadly they are silent to defend their faith, so we know nothing different about them.

So every now and then a clinic gets attacked. But christians never hijacked airlines and crashed them right into buildings, killing thousands in one shot. Not do christians make videos in some nasty little hole where they cut of a man's head, nor do christians have a world-wide tantrum because someone made a cartoon of Jesus.
