It's going to be extremely hard to tell you how to tie a falconer's knot over the internet. It is something that is much easier learned through being shown. I'm trying to think of a way to explain it here, but it's pretty much impossible without pictures or a video.

Seriously,if you are an apprentice, the Master you are learning under should be the one to show you. So why exactly are you asking online when you should be working with your Master?

You should be learning it from the master falconer, and there are actually a few variations, but as best as I can describe it:
1. Loop the end of the leash around the object you are tying to. Leave enough of an end for the next steps.
2. Push a loop of leash through the first loop. Don't pull the end through, however.
3. Pull the end of the leash through the second loop and tighten.
4. Tie an overhand knot

I must stress, though, check with the master falconer. . .I'm not a falconer myself - I just work with raptors at a zoo - so I don't know what laws apply to owning as an apprentice.

This is something they should teach you in your apprenticship. Ask them! They will be glad to show you! :)
