If you're wanting to live here permenantly you need to apply for a residency permit - Indefinite Leave to Stay (ILS) or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). If you're not planning to live here permenantly you would need to apply for a work permit, I think the maximum term is 10 years.

First you will need a passport, then a work permit, age restrictions apply. Try one of the many websites.
But why would anyone in their right mind want to move from Canada to the UK!!
