There is a myth out there that dogs don't get colds. Several Vets have told me they DO!

You don't have to do anything unless it goes on for more than several days, and the dog has been vaccinated. Try not to catch it yourself - or give your dog a cold when you have one.

Good luck.

He has probably got a cold. This he can have got from being in a draft. I have a large dog and when he gets the snuffles give him 1/2 a paracetamol (if your dog is only small give just a 1/4). If he is not better the next morning take him to the vet. You do not say whether your dog has been vaccinated or not. Mine has and is a large Dalmatian and the treatment above works every time. Hope your dog is okay soon.

Dogs do not catch the common cold! Take him to the vet ASAP!
It sounds like an upper respitory infection which will need anti-biotics!

You definitely do need to take him to the vet. Dogs don't get colds. Has your dog been vaccinated? This could be kennel cough or many other things. Take him today.

Dogs can't catch colds or flu so it can't be either of them.

Your best off taking him to the vet ASAP.

how old is your dog?
my last dog started with a cough he was nine yrs old
i took him to vet as he had been up to date with vaccinations etc: plus kennel cough......he needed antibiotics cause he had chest infection.....
your dog may have infection somewhere, i would get it checked if it has been going on for a while...
cod liver oil in food is good
cleaning his nose with it to may soothe.......

Dogs don't get colds, but they can get upper respiratory tract infections. If he's that lethargic then you should definitely take him to your vet and get him treated. Hope he's OK x
