Do you think that a much larger scale war in the Middle East is inevitable? Will this world ever be safe if the likes of Iran, Syria and N. Korea are allowed to continue on the paths they have chosen? I think we need to expect some difficult times in the very near future, how about you?

You have parties in the middle east that plan to rule the world by the sword.
Standing up to them now may prevent much worse in the next 10 years.
Give them enough time to build nukes and things will become very bad , very fast.

The middle east has been in conflict, war & chaos for almost the last 1500 years the only difference now is that the US military is caught right smack in the middle of it all right now whereas the US use to solve all it's mideast problems with diplomacy, espionage & aid/bribes. Once Israel was re created in 1947 in the manner that it was that instantly meant that there would continue to be difficult times in the Mideast & as Israel's #1 ally the US would be involved as well. But now you have to add a stronger radical Islam to the mix and that will make sure that the Future of the Mideast will be just as chaotic it not more so in the future UNLESS the US somehow stopped using oil.

The train has already left the station. Soon, we will see Iran becoming bold enough to believe that they can block or control the passage of oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, which is only about 32 miles wide. This strait, being the lifeline for oil shipment out of the entire Persian Gulf, is strategically critical and the West will not allow Iran to stop the flow. Hence, a major battle is in the works as we see Iran practicing war games and preparing its ships and torpedos for action. Is this "inevitable"? I am sure diplomacy will be attempted, but there is a long history of failure to communicate between the West and Iran. They will not listen and we will have to defend our way of life.
It is unfortunate that those with illogical environmental concerns, have kept the US from employing greater nuclear power generation and from extracting the major oil reserves we are currently sitting on in this hemisphere. They, in the end, will bear the brunt of fault when we go to war over oil. Yet, they will castigate the government for not being prepared. Indeed, this nation has never been as much in danger of collapse as we are right now. Since the formation of our government, American citizens have traditionally set aside difference of opinion and pulled together with every threat; Not so now...we are imploding from the core as we speak.

I don't know. It sure is heating up over there with Iran playing the nuclear game. I think the U.S. is going to back away. Not a whole lot they can do at this point. Too many mistakes in Iraq depleting U.S. military resources. Not enough participation by other countries to stop Iran, Syria and N. Korea. It is very scary that the alarm bell isn't going off more.

As long as the US stays out of it, we'll be fine. Let the middle east sort themselves out.
