i think that all of us are susceptible to peer pressure when the constant in the equation in anonymity.

there are a lot of tolerant, interesting people on this forum whose answers and questions tend to be ignored or attacked by the majority. i sometimes think every experience we have as adults is just the popularity contests in high school constantly playing out.

weird - just realized you also just got my description of hell, if one exists! : )

I think it's a good training ground for developing a lot of things -- patience, tolerance, kindness, caring, etc. We're exposed to many different viewpoints here, and we could all learn how to be kind-hearted. Unfortunately, too many people look at this forum as a chance to blast the people that they hate and to cause as many hurt feelings as possible.

As someone else already said, it's human nature. . .but I think we could learn to be a little bit better than average.

You said one word that applies to the question... practice... we need to be able to control our own thoughts and feelings when dealing with others in any type of community forum.. and be willing to let each individual have their agency whether or not we agree.... We should be kind-hearted in all our dealings with each other... at home, work, school, etc... and someday, it will be as natural for us to show kindness as it is for us to sleep... I hope to be able to acheive that natural kindness someday!

I think that how you answer on a forum such as this has very little to do with whether you have a kind heart or not.

It's not for me. I have a kind heart. My problem is to not let situations harden my heart.
