Dewclaws are removed at 3-5 days of age by a veterinarian. It is a minor surgical procedure at this age but is is NOT a DIY job. If the puppies are older than that anesthesia , and closure with sutures is necessary. As mentioned for most dogs it is totally unnecessary. Some hunting dogs have it done so the don't get injured in the field.

Dewclaws truly serve no objective and could be bumped off at an early age without a lot problem. many times they're bumped off at days previous, an similar age as tail docking. at the same time as canines are older the surgical treatment to remove them turns into extra in touch. the reason behind eliminating is beauty, some human beings do no longer like the way they offer the effect of being and and because the dewclaws will be torn off by coincidence throughout actual interest

Other than the risk of getting it snagged on something, there is no reason the remove dewclaws, even in showdogs.

No, this is a job for a trained veterinarian. If you were to mess up the pup could loose his leg or life. Don't do it. I don't recommend you declaw him at all, it changes their attitude and makes them mean.

Unless you're a vet , I wouldn't recommend it. It's not an expensive procedure, but, it may be that you can just leave them alone if you're not willing to pay to have it done professionally.

Please don't. If you can't afford proper care for a puppy, you shouldn't have one. Now, if you were asking if you could perform a root canal on yourself, I'd tell you to knock yourself out, but please don't put another being through torture for whatever reasons you think you have.

can you do vasectomies without anesthesia?
Of course, but who would want it.
I think what you're asking is abusive-don't think about it!
