i recentlly asked out my ex, bc i still liked her and she liked me. when we were talking she said not to overuse the phrase, i love you. so i havent really said it unless she says it to me, or when we say bye to each other. but last time, i always said i love you when we said bye to each other, so i would like her to say it. for the past day when we're talking on the phone, she hasnt said "i love you" after she says like bye or something. one of us usually always say "bye, i love you" but i want her to say it first. since she hasnt, does that mean she still loves me?

Used to frequently any words start to lose their meaning. If you always say "I love you" at the end of a call it becomes synonymous with "goodbye". Why don't you take a break from all the I love you's and tell her something you appreciate about her instead. It will likely have just as much meaning and may be a form of communication with which she is more comfortable.

She's your ex for a reason, right?
She doesn't love you.
Move on.

There are so many good women who will want to share "I love you"s without the worries over who goes first and whether the phrase is overused. Find one of those women.

just know that if y'all both have strong feelings for each other she does not have to say i love u every time that y'all hang up long as she said it once u wont have to ask her again unless u are not really sure or u think that she is doing something behind u back just ask her and see what she says.

It's really good that you and your ex can be friends, saying i love you at the end of conversation is normal but don't see to much in it most likely that is all she wants is your friendship

you said she is ur ex right? maybe she is rethinking about the relation maybe she is not so sure she loves u so why dont u discuss it with her? talk to her about it ask her if she loves u or not and let her think about it and be sure so u can know if she do its obvious that she is not fooling around so just ask her dont be afraid.

Maybe she just realized that you shouldn't throw around "I love you's." Some people don't want to say it all the time, so that when they do say it...it sounds more meaningful.
