1 lbs. of ground Italian sausage
1 or 2 medium sized green bell peppers.
1 loaf of frozen bread dough
1 egg, lightly beaten

Place dough on greased cookie sheet and cover with a towel. Let rise for several hours. After the dough has risen, work it into long rectangular piece. Sprinkle some flour on a pastry board. Then work the dough with your hands. You don't need to knead the dough, you just want to start spreading it out with you hands. Then use a rolling pin to finish off the process. Be careful not to spread the dough to thin, you need some thickness to handle the meat filling.

Cook sausage in a hot pan. Cut up the green peppers and add to the sausage half-way through browning. Continue cooking until the sausage gets a nice dark brown. When done, place the meat and peppers onto paper towels to drain. Let cool completely.

Put meat and pepper filling on top of the dough. Spread out the filling onto the dough while leaving enough room on the sides to wrap the dough around the filling. Fold dough over filling and seal all sides. Then with a fork poke some holes on the top of the loaf to allow for steam venting during cooking.

Brush the dough with the lightly beaten egg. This will give a golden brown glaze to the loaf.

Place the loaf in a preheated 350 degree oven and cook for 40 - 50 minutes. You will need to keep an eye on it.

When done baking, let the loaf cool on a wire rack.
