I know exactly how you are feeling. I'm in a long distance relationship too...My boyfriend and I are both in college. I see him monthly, but even then, I miss him greatly. It really is a heartache. What you really need to decide is, is your love for eachother worth working through the distance?
It will most definitely be hard, long distance relationships aren't meant to be easy. It will definitely test both of you and how much you care about eachother...
You could try sending eachother letters/cards in the mail. Or sending little care packages/e-cards...anything that can be a bit of a surprise, or something to look forward to while you're waiting until you can see eachother next.
If you really feel he is worth it, hang in there. My boyfriend and I have been in a long distance relationship all through college--almost 4 years now! And we're still very loyal and loving towards eachother. Or maybe long distant relationships are not for you. Keep in mind, the distance won't always be there...for example, when you've finished school. Perhaps now isn't the time for the two of you, but in the future when you could perhaps be closer, things would work out much better. Just be open and honest with eachother about how you are feeling.
Whichever you decide, I wish you the best of luck!

Long distance relationship (in my opinion) do not work. Especially when we're in college. As long as you maintain a close friendship - then the rest Will follow. I think you both need to be realistic about the distance between you both and agree to move on (still being friends of course). You only see him every 4 months and during this time he could very well be seeing someone else.
Good Luck

Maybe you 2 should just be friends for now...dont be exclusive...
it will be easier...to have a relationship with someone you can see more often than not...
and then well you both can still see each other how you have been and be what ever you want while you're together...and maybe in 4 years you will want to be together still and if not...you havent wasted 4 years of your life trying to make something survive that was bound to fade away

Assuming you guys have a great relationship. I would have to say... just stay positive and know the long distance is not going to last forever. Might suck now, but will pay off in the long run when you finish school and can enjoy your time together. Prove to yourselves that it will take more then just a few miles to tear you apart! if it was meant to be.. it was meant to be... it just works :-)

Ah yes, I know this situation well.
The options are: you drop out of college and live near him, you both get jobs to pay for trips, he moves up there or you suffer through like you are.
I don't know the extent of your relationship, but unless you're totally madly in love, I'd consider putting it on hold while you get through college. Pining away isn't healthy and will prevent you from some necessary college experiences.

Every other weekend you should go over his house so then you can see him more often or he can visit you, but you can still see him in the 4months thing.

If you care for each other, you will wait for each other. Talk on the phone and computer all you can but continue with your education, it is a rough world out there even with one!

Get a webcam and have a little "fun" with that. Not a perfect solution but might help some.
