Breakfast kick starts your metabolism which will mean you burn more calories per day just doing nothing. Also means you'll snack less during the day especially if you chose a low GI breakfast like porridge which will keep you feeling fuller for longer.

Exercise again kick-starts your metabolism and means you'll be burning more calories at rest during the rest of the day.

You do not have to have a big breakfast, you do need to eat in the morning. It does many things for you. It gives you energy to get through the morning without being overly hungry and run down by lunch. Any calories (within reason) are easily burned off by your daily work and routine. Keeps you from snacking on office donuts and junk before lunch. Exercise can be done at anytime, some people prefer it in the hour or two before dinner, as dinner calories are the ones that are the least likely to be burned off otherwise.

You are supposed to consume most of the calories in the morning..b/c that is when you are more likely to be active..
Alot of people skip that meal, thinking that they will lose weight b/c they skipped a meal...only to eat a bigger dinner and then go to bed or watch TV..most dietricians and health experts agree to eat a small meal every 3-4 hours..to keep the metabolism going..otherwise your bidy goes into starvation mode..your body will start to crave sweets, b/c of your bloodsugar level drop...and then you are trying to compensate either with foods high in carbs or sweets..maby later during the day..
That's why we hear the common complaint..:" I gained weight, and I hardly eat anything" b/c your body after a certain time of no food intake, will store everything it receives once it goes into starvation mode..you do not have to be a skinny person for your body to do this...it is just how the body works..A big breakfast w/sausage and eggs? Probably not the best thing to do,but if you have to and you cannot control yourself...go ahead for breakfast..it is better than the steak and fries for dinner..

Its great that you can eat a big healthy breakfast in the morning. But dont sit on your rump all day afterwards. Eat a healthy lunch. And always eat a well balanced dinner. And you should be fine .The reason the mornign is the best time to exersize is because it kick starts your metabolism. Like warming up your car for the a long trip and it runs better if you keep it tuned and always warm it up.

I recommend you have a full English breakfast every morning as it sets you up for the day. That is 3 sausages, 3 slice of bacon, 2 fried eggs, 2 slice black pudding, hash browns/potato scones, fried mushrooms beans tomato and fried bread and a big mug of tea. and last but not least hot buttered toast with jam. Now that is what you call a good breakfast

If you are familiar with the phrase "Eat breakfast like a king lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper" then you are familiar with the idea of tapering your calories.

* What this means is that you should eat your larger meals earlier in the day, i.e. eat your first meal like a king. This gives your body a chance to burn those calories that you just ate.

* Eating most of your carbohydrates, such as cereals, breads and fruit, earlier in the day is recommended as the body does not need them to be eaten at night: you've already got a full days storage of carbs in your body.

*Lunch like a Prince -Fish vegetables and more fruit to get extra oils and vitamins

* Dinner should be your smallest meal and should be mostly protein with some complex carbs, such as vegetables.

* There is popular advice that says "don't eat anything after six". This is basically the same idea about tapering calories but it should not be taken as gospel.

* While you may eat after six in the evening and still lose weight, watch what you eat and don't eat too much of it or you will taking in calories that your body doesn't need and will just store.

Its not having a big breakfast, its having breakfast at all. Then you don't tend to snack on junk food mid-morning because your energy levels remain steady. Also you concentration is better.

Morning is better for lots of people because we have more energy, rather than last thing at night when we feel less inclined to go to the gym or whatever. Except me.... I hate mornings!! :-) Also if you exercise late at night its harder to sleep.

Staying power is more prominent after the English breakfast. Because foods like eggs, toast, and oats have a low GI content which means the glucose is released more slowly into the blood keeping you focused for longer.

Having a good breakfast is good because it stops you from snacking before lunch and it is the snacking that can cause problems with weight control. Also, exercise before breakfast as they say this is when you will burn off fat rather than consumed calories.

1. It's good to eat most of your calories earlier in the day so your body has a chance to burn them off

2. It will make you full for longer and keep you from binging at night

3. It will jump start your body functions and keep you awake and alert during the morning
