one of my favorite kind of recipes with mushrooms is Tuna casserole
TUNA, NOODLES & MUSHROOM SOUP
CASSEROLE
An excellent emergency dish. Makes 4 large servings. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
1. Have ready 2 cups boiled noodles.
2. Drain 7 ounces tuna fish.
3. Separate it with a fork into large flakes, do not mince it. Grease an oven proof dish. Arrange a layer of noodles, then sprinkle it with fish and so on, with noodles on top. Pour over this mixture 1 cup condensed mushroom soup.
4. Season soup with Worcestershire sauce, curry powder or dry sherry. Add 1/4 cup chopped parsley.
5. Cover top with buttered corn flakes or cracker crumbs.
6. Bake until the top is brown

you did't mention if they were canned or fresh, so, i will assume they are fresh.I wash, drain, and slice them. Then i make an egg batter using 2-3 eggs and about a half cup milk,I use flour, salt pepper and garlic pepper in another bowl. Heat your deep fryer and roll them in the egg batter, next into the flour, shake off excess, and drop them into hot grease or oil. Cook until golden brown. ENJOY

There's a recipe at the website below for spinach and portobello although I've used all kinds of mushroom (i've used cremini and button, etc.). Check out the recipe, it's quite easy and doesn't call for a lot of ingredients.

The tastiest way (if not the healthiest) is to fry them in butter untill tender and or crisp depending on your preference! As they are frying add salt and pepper!
