The injections make you pretty fatiuged/tired. My friend slept a lot, she could still work, but once she was home she ate dinner and just went to bed. She DID NOT lose her hair!! Her treatment lasted 6 months and she was very tired after the injections. The cost depends on what brand of interferon you use, how much your doctor charges for the office visits, etc.

Her last doctors visit shows 100% improvement, no Hep C present. It worked and I'm so thankful she's going to live. She's got so much energy, is thankful to be alive and has made the commitment to stay healthy. If you need interferon it's best to do the course of injections right now. I would rather you do interferon than have to go through getting a liver in another year.

I have a male friend that did not do the Interferon, he waited too long. When he did decide he wanted to do it IT WAS TOO LATE. Now he's going through hell and is on the transplant list. He's lost about 75 pounds, and is a yellow-skinned skeleton now. He used to be big and gorgeous. Now he's so sick they can't even operate on him if they find him a liver, we're just watching him die before our eyes and it's horrible.

Getting on interferon is all about timing. Either you can do the interferon now, or you can die waiting for a new liver. Once you get to the point of no return, you can't use Interferon. If your doctor is telling you to do the interferon, do it now! Don't put it off.

PLEASE make the commitment to get well. Pay particular attention to your nutrition. Do not drink ANY alcohol. Please keep all your doctor appointments, get all lab work done, be a good patient!!

As far as cost goes, what is your life worth? What would you pay to live?
