You're eating that for the sulfur in the burnt end of the matchstick. My cousin did the same thing, this kind of food craving is called Pica (the craving for non-food items), and it can signal a nutritional deficiency that you're trying to get through the matchsticks. It's not that uncommon, kids with low nutrient reserves and pregnant women have been known to eat burnt matchsticks, pine needles, and even clay. But you need to see a doctor and have some bloodwork done to make sure you're healthy.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwww!!!!!! That is so nasty. Instead of doing that try eating a candy bar or something.

your body must need something, you know how people eat pencil or dirt because their body is craving some mineral or something...pretty strange though
