For me, it was fresh Maine lobster dripping in melted butter at the Rockland Lobster Festival (Aug 9.-11) back in the 1970's. What was your most memorable meal? Serious answers only! Don't say Taco Bell!

I agree with you, the taste of a freshly prepared lobster is sublime. The ritual of the melted butter, the squeeze of lemon juice, and if you dare, eating with your hands rather than cutlery, its very sensual isn't it ? Appealing to all our senses...the vivid scarlet of the of the shell, the smell of the lobster with the tang of lemon, the silky feel of the butter on your fingers, the orgasmic yummy first taste and the anticipation of the next bite.MMMMMmmm.So good!

This will sound weird, & I hope there aren't any animal rights activists reading this, but my most memorable meal was Gator Bites, which was Alligator breaded like chicken nuggets. I had the meal in a hunter's restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the place was styled like a log cabin with a bar and LOADS of taxidermied animals. The alligator was actually good, they served it with raspberry sauce, but I wasn't too comfortable eating with a stuffed moose and cougar looking at me the whole time. They also had Kangaroo and Rattlesnake on the menu, but that was going a little too far for me, lol.

Taco pizza. I'm not joking. Apparently it's a midwest thing. Every time I ever ordered one, I'd eat a WHOLE large taco pizza in two days. Whereas any other pizza, 2 slices was my limit. And I can't find them on the west coast! They call them Mexican pizzas here and they are NOT the same. I miss them so much.

Other than that, the veal I had in a lemon caper sauce from a bistro a couple months ago was simply to die for.

The most delicious thing I've ever eaten was probably my Grandmother's home-made cookies and they're so easy to make cuz you don't even have to cook them! And my most memorable meal? I would have to say. . . this spaghetti w/meat sauce that I had in some random restaurant in Rome, Italy.

Probably a European delicacy called Pita. It is dough shaped like a long tube filled with onion, pepper, and potato, then cut into pieces. Good with ketchup. That is my favourite pita, but there are other ones, for example, pita filled with cheese, or filled with spinach and feta cheese, I believe. It's awesome.
