If he is 16 years older than you, then it depends on how old you are. If you are a minor, then there is a huge problem, legally. If you are over 18 years old and you want to date someone who is that much older than you, then go for it. Tell those who make rude comments that if you wanted their opinion, you would ask for it. You need to decide for yourself what makes you happy. Does he? Does he give more than he takes? Do you have things in common? Does he treat you with respect and as his equal? If you can anwser yes to these, then go with it. Good luck!

Probably because at your age you still have alot of growing up to do and people may think your in it for different reasons but age is just a number as long as your happy thats all that matters anyways.

Because if ur seriously about marriage and kids, when u have a baby at 30y.o., He'd be 60y.o. when ur child is only 14y.o. do u think he'll be doing all those fun things that dads do with their sons? I'd have my doubts about it. Good luck!

hell, my man is 17 years older than me. in fact, the month and year he graduated high school, was the month and year i was born. believe it or not, my family is happier now that i am with him than anyother guy. my dad likes to say "well atleast she isn't dating YOUNG punks anymore. plus, they aren't "older", they are just "seasoned".. good luck with it girl. i know from personal experience it is a good thing
