Everyone in government and everyone who didn't speak up against the war from the beginning shares the blame.
Actually, everyone shares the blame, period. We vote our government into office. We should all share the blame along with our failing leaders.

Yes, a lot of Democrats initially gave Bush authorization and support for the Iraq war. But being that Bush is commander-in-chief and Rumsfeld was his guy at the time, the buck stops there.
In 2002, the army chief of staff told congress that we would need at LEAST 700,000 ground forces for invasion and post-war stabilization. It was ignored.
Colin Powell told Bush what the pitfalls would be in a post war Iraq. He told him that's why his father chose not to do it in 1991. His last words on the subject, "You break it, you bought it."
I have a friend who did a 8 year stint in the special forces in the 80's. He said that they are now calling up officers who have not been in the services in almost 20 years back into action under the "reservist" clause. Enlisted men may follow. There are potentially 30 million former servicemen who served in the last 20 years who could get called up.
Enough is enough. They tried to to this "on the cheap" and now the piper is just getting too hard to pay, in both money and lives. If the backward *** Muslim world wants to live in the 14th century, there is nothing we can do about it.

I don't see much of a question here. You are stating your view and daring other people to challenge it. That being said, I would like to ask you a question....How is creating war maintaining peace? I personally do not align myself with either party. I feel they are both corrupt, power hungry, and do not have the countries interest at heart, only their own political interests. I do believe strongly in our style of government as a whole though, If I didn't I wouldn't have gone to Iraq twice, and wouldn't still be in the Army.
As for your WMD comment, that along with so called terrorist links to Al Quaida were the 2 biggest reasons the administration gave for this war. You cannot change the past. The sanctions that Saddam defaulted on had to do with WMD's.

I know you asked for the Dem response but as a Republican I would like to tell you what I think. We went into Iraq and had the place secured within about 48 hours. After that Rumsfield or whoever was in charge botched the job for the next 3.5 years. This got people mad and frustrated. Who ever was running this thing gets a D-. The WMD thing I can forgive because we all know the crap that Sadam pulled. We have the most sophisticated weapons on the planet and are unable to manage a country or its borders.

Most people loose sight of the fact that Iraq funneled millions into terrorists hands. And if still in power the oil would have sold to someone and millions would still be flowing... Now the U.S. can somewhat control the money or at least see where it is going Dems have a very short memory... Very seldom hear anything about Kosovo we still have troops there why aren't they being called home ...been there 10 years or more... That's right Clinton got us in there.. I guess those death were a little more tolerable...

False claims and accusations to scare Americans into attacking Iraq did not justify this invasion. What did you care about Saddam? Bush launched an unprovoked, aggressive war, lied about Iraq harboring terrorists, was responsible for the 9/11 attacks and was planning to attack the United States. Remember Rice's allusions to mushroom clouds? Like Hitler Bush's megalomania led him to the delusion that he has the right to attack other countries. This is Mr. Bush's war. This is a Republican war and it will be the death of the GOP for years.
Your backwoods hick of a president bears responsibility and will and should be held accountable.

Every one is to blame, the only reason there is a focus on republicans right now is because the democrats can say if they were to go back in time ( which cant happen) they would do it differently, republicans (for the most part) have stuck with their decisions.

Well, Destiny, I can see you bought the entire bill of goods that was soldto you by the Liar In Chief and his Administation of Thugs. And, sadly, YOU STILL BELIEVE IT.
First: There was never NEVER any connection between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein. Hussein would NEVER have allowed al-Queda to live or exist anywhere inside Iraq.
Second: We all knew that Afghanistan was the WAR and the only WAR where Osama bin Laden and his murdering thugs had a chance of being destroyed, but the nitwit in Chief was so anxious to "avenge" his daddy's loss to Pres. Clinton that he was determined to go to Iraq. and to hell with the rest of the world.
Third: Have you heard or seen of bin Laden being captured or killed yet? 7 years later. If so, please share the news with the rest of the world. The most dangerous individual who ever lived and his entire gang of thugs are still on the loose and thriving thanks to the Bush crime family and the entire administration of liars who are aiding and abetting him. So thank him when they show up at your door step to murder you. Don't blame me.
and Last, PLEASE REMEMBER THIS: We had sanctions we were using when Pres. Clinton was in office. It was called Stealth Bombers; everytime Hussein would violate a sanction we would drop a bomb and they were pretty darn effective; we managed thru inspections torid the entire country of weapons of mass destruction under President Clinton.
So the next time you want to go on one of your right wing rants, please keep in mind all of the above. At least take it under advisement. I know your kind does never like to admit the truth but at least you can't say you are ignorant of the truth from this point forwad. Unless, ofcourse you refuse to read the truth.
Those who are afraid of the truth, and refuse to listen are destined to destroy the world with their ignorance.

I believe we made the mistake of going to war with out an end objective. War is only profitable when one country conquers an other and makes it their own.
Do we really have to be the worlds "Policemen" ???
