An "act of God" is an expression - one that man has made to explain something difficult that has happened - but I subnit that those who use this term do not know God.
These disasters would never be God's will or desire. He is a God of life and suffering is never what he wants - remember He gave the life of his Son for us out of love, and the God who did that is the same today.
These natutal disasters or events are a result of a broken world. This is not the world God intended - it has been corrupted by sin and along with that has come death, suffering and pain. God will never interfere with our free will to choose and man has chosen to sin, and bear the results of sin - like how we hurt each other, disasters and the misunderstanding of each other.
He has also, in his incredible grace - come and given us a way to salvation from our sin (we have all sinned, and therefore are separated from a pure and holy God), and that is through the sacrifice of death in our place through Jesus. When we find faith in him, this life is bearable, and abundant, and has the promise of eternal life. He is with us in all things, always.

God doesn't make tornadoes,, nature makes tornadoes. Think about it: If God made the world such a perfect place, answered all our wishes, and saved us from harm, wouldn't this world be a very boring place? God knows if he spoiled us, we wouldn't worship him, we'd use him. Just like your Dad. Did he do everything in the world to make u happy? No. And sometimes when u made ur little temper tantrums, he'd give up. It goes the same with God. I'm afraid ull see more destruction bc of global warming, but dont blame it on god, blame it on us. we r doing this to ourselves.

Its called faith and leads to those sort of ridiculous moments when people are jumping up and down praising god over saving one life when thousands have died.

Fairy tales and ancient middle eastern tales and legends initiated by bronze age goat herders are full of contradictions.
Believing in them is delusional.
