They're still restricting the liquids to under 100ml and they must be in a see-through bag. This includes stuff like lipsticks. It means if you're gonig anywhere overnight and need your toothpaste you need to check a bag in anyway. Your handbag does count as hand-luggage so you are only allowed 1 piece so if you've got a handbag put it into the other bag you are carrying on. I never bring much on the actual plane, just my documents and passport, MP3 player and a book as well as my handbag with my money, keys and credit cards in it.

The best thing to do is check the air transportation websites for the country you are leaving and the countries you plan on travelling through. Each country has it's own set of transport rules. You would have to be more specific country-wise to be given a detailed answer.

All liquids must be carried in individual containers not greater than 100ml capacity
All containers must be placed in one transparent re-sealable bag (such as 'ziplock' bags or bags with pressable seals), no larger than 20cm x 20cm (8" x 8") in size and not larger that one litre in capacity. The containers must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be fastened closed. These bags are available from most major supermarkets
Only ONE transparent re-sealable bag is allowed per customer. Larger or non-sealable bags, (such as fold-over sandwich bags) are NOT allowed
Your one transparent re-sealable bag must fit into your single piece of hand luggage
All customers must remove the clear plastic bag from hand baggage and place it in on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening
Liquids in containers of more than 100ml capacity must be packed in your checked in baggage
Please remember 'liquids' include:
All drinks, including water, soup and syrups
Perfumes, lotions, oils, mascara etc
Pressurized containers including shaving foam and spray deodorants
Pastes, including toothpastes
Hair and shower gels and lip gloss
Any other solutions and items of similar consistency
Essential medicines and baby food may be permitted in larger quantities above the 100ml limit, but will be subject to the following authentication.
Essential medicines in liquid form must be sufficient and essential for the flight (e.g. diabetic kit), all non-essential medical items must be placed in hold luggage. Passengers must also bring with them a medical declaration, e.g. prescription or other supporting documentation from a relevant qualified medical professional
Baby milk and liquid baby food must be tasted by the accompanying parent or guardian at security searches
Please call our Medical Assistance team on 0870 757 2757 for more information and press option 2.
