imy friend says i like this guy who i must admit i have been growing close to. She insists i like him becaue evrytime he signs on AIM i get excited. its the little stuff like that. i dont want to like him because im always getting hurt, not to mention he has a gf he seems to really like. my question is how do i know if i really like him and how can i get over him? i like being friends and dont want to ruin it.

well its these little things that mean that you hav feelings for him.. i think that u shld reduce contact with him for a while so that you spend some time understanding how u feel...and getting over him... Get out more...make more friends of the opposite sex so that u understand that u are capable to get over him..dnt give up on urself...give urself some time... Don't worry..with a bit of determination ull find some other guy ull like more..and u can build a good friendship with the guy u mentioned above... whatever u do...dont try to destroy his relationship with his gf...think of how u would feel if someone did that to u...
whatever happens and whatever u do...think of the consequences and give the situation time...time heals everything...

I use to work with a man that I admired greatly. He had a wife that he adored and two beautiful children. We became good friends. We'd take our breaks together... eat lunch together. I felt very close to him as a friend and imagined many times the two of us being together. He was not flirtatious at all. And I was not flirtatious in the least. But the thought and feelings were there. I did a lot of thinking and I realized I had a crush on his life. I wanted what his wife had but the reality of it all made me realize that if he left his wonderful wife for me then I probably wouldn't desire him as much. I wouldn't love the part about him that said... DEVOTION and RESPECT. Because if he left his wife and children he would lose all the qualities about him that I was drawn to. Sometimes we go through feelings of wanting something that is out of reach and sometimes because they are out of reach it makes us desire them more. Try realizing that if he were to dump his current girlfriend for you then he's not the type of man you want to be with. After all... what goes around ... comes around and you just might be in the shoes his current girlfriend is in. Think more of yourself and know that you are worth more than a man that would toss someone away just to have a new love. If you think about it in that sense then it shouldn't be that difficult to get over the feelings you are feeling for him. Good luck and God bless!

u know u like him but theres that other girl,i would keep it as a friendship till he gives u the sign hes interested in you,,u never know maybe hes looking to split from that other girl,but dont push it gl

since this guy already has a girlfriend, maybe it would be a good idea to step back a little,say hi from time to time but wait and see where his level of commitment with this other girl leads to.
