Talk to your doctor, don't try and stop yourself. Benzos are the most dangerous to detox from. Quitting cold-turkey can cause seizures and death. You should be tapered down... it's extremely important with this typoe of medication not to stop abruptly. It's okay to want to be off this medication, but it's also okay to take it if you really need it. Don't let stupid people like morisink make you feel bada because you need a medication... even if it is a narcotic (whic Klonopin is NOT) or a benzodiazepine that has a stigma attached to it, if you are prescribed it because you genuinely need it and you take it according to your doctors orders, there is NOTHING wrong with taking it. There's also NOTHING wrong with wanting to be off of it, but don't let people guilt you into it. Let it be your own decision.

It is OK to want to stop but, you need to be tapered off. Stopping suddenly will cause you to have withdrawal symptoms. I do not know how much you are taking, a 15% cut every three to five days is safe. It would be best do so this under a DOCTORS SUPERVISION.

Talk to your doctor - but do not try to stop taking it before speaking with your doctor. You can suffer dangerous withdrawals without properly. Tell your doctor everything you are feeling about the medicine and work with him/her to find the best solution for youl

Please consult your doctor before getting off of this medication. It needs to be tapered down dose by dose over an extended period of time..you can't just stop taking it all together. You need to be monitored by your doctor over this time to make sure things go smoothly.

Discuss that with your doctor. There are meds that you should never even attempt wean yourself from without medical supervision, and this is one of them.
