To get started, I like this one girl. I am positive that she likes me back, since I find her staring at me and smiling everytime we are talking, and walks so close to me that our arms are touching, and other reasons. The problem is, she has a boyfriend. Not only that, but the boyfriend is one of my friends. Her boyfriend and I aren't really good friends. We hardly ever talk. Even though we aren't good friends, I don't want to lose our friendship. Now, the relationship between the girl I like and her boyfriend is horrible. They hardly ever talk to each other, they walk far apart if they do walk with each other, and they only went on one date so far. They have been going out for about a year now, the date was at the beginning of their relationship. I am friends with the girl I like, and my friendship with her is better than their relationship. So my question is, should I ask this girl out?

1. I think that you should probably wait for them to break up, so you don't hurt your friend's feelings and anyway it sounds like they will break up any day now.

or

2. Ask the girl you like out and if she says yes, tell her that you will only go out with her after she breaks up with her current boyfriend. But, don't go out with her right away, wait a couple of weeks so the friend doesn't think that you were the reason that you broke up.

Well if this guy isn't your good friend, then why not ask her out. If he was your best friend that would be another story. What do you have to lose besides the friendship of someone who isn't really your friend. Their relationship is faltering anyway, so you might as well.

Dude, your getting ahead of yourself. offer her condolences if she's upset. if she and her bf have a fight go and sit with and talk to her and make her feel better. DONT MAKE ANY MOVES!! if while you are trying to console her you try to make any moves she'll think you are taking advantage of her in her hour of need. wait a little longer to see if the relationship with the 2 of them fizzle out. then when shes thinking about people to be her bf, she'll think about how much you helped her. and how sweet and sensitive you were and she might be the one to ask you out! if the relationship doesn't fizzle out after a while, then just tell her how you really feel. she might only still be with this guy cuz she doesn't want to be alone. if she knows you like her, she might be more likely to break up with him.

Ask the girl about her relationship first and then you can decide if you are going to ask her or not.Since you know the alleged boyfriend you can ask him too whats their relationship right now.Just be honest and say what you really feel.

Yes, you should ask the girl out. She obviously likes you, if her relationship isn't going well then she hasn't got an excuse to say no.
Good luck
