I caught the last bit of a news report saying something like, people who served in the military but got in trouble can get back in now? Is that true? Does anyone have a link to a news article?

not necessarily.. It will depend on their dischrage characterization and RE code. certain things, such as medical issues or failure to meet weight standards, can be overcome as long as the issue is no longer around.

But many others are death sentances as far as gettingback in.

No it's not true... people who were discharged for things like weight or PT can apply to get a waiver to come back in... people who have gotten misdemeanors or people with felonies like larceny or burglary can come in w/a waiver, but no violent offenders can come in... period.

They are NOT setting up recruiting stations in prisons...what kind of an idiot would say that!~

Of course it's true, they are even thinking about setting up recruiter stations in prisons.
