how do i prevent water retention? (there's no specific time adn day that i get it, it's a whole-day general thing) it's making me look huge, especially when i also have fat thighs and butt.

i heard that tomatoes are good, but how and why do they prevent water retention?

is it due to drinking too much water? should I drink less?? sometimes i drink the recommended 7-8 glasses /day, but sometimes i dont.

Drink allot of water, you may be retaining water because your not drinking enough water and your body hold on to the limited water you do drink. If that is not the case then...are you eating stuff that has allot of salt in it...Here is a tip drink allot of water and also add green tea to your diet....look up the benefits on line (for green tea) Its super good for your body. Once you start flooding your body with water ...your body will stop holding on to it so hard....but do drink it through out the day...drinking large quantity's of water at once can be dangerous. Look up water intoxication on line .Good luck to you .

Diuretics
Diuretics are herbs that increase the flow of urine from the kidneys, excreting excess fluid from the body, they will not cause potassium depletion or stress the kidneys. As these are herbs which offer some beneficial action in the urinary system, they can also include urinary demulcents and anti-inflammatory herbs. E.g. Dandelion leaf (Taraxacum off. folia), Celery (Apium graveolens), Corn silk (Zea mays), Couchgrass (Agropyron repens), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium).
