Condoms ARE birth control. Or a method of-
Maybe he doesn't want children, and doesn't want to take risks? do you?
you've only been dating a year; birth control is still very much an option.
It's possible there may be sexually transmitted diseases involved. Definitely get yourselves tested (talk about it first, don't just take him by the hand and drag him to a clinic at any given time).
The easiest thing to do would be to just start talking about (possibly soon after sex) your opinions on [your methods] of birth control; chances are, this will give you insight into what he thinks, and you can go from there.

Well from the sound of this relationship, you aren't even comfortable talking to him about very important life altering decisions. That right there is an indicator that you should maybe wait before you stop using protection, but if you do start yes you should both get tested. Just by getting tested you could save yourself from ruining your future and what you have going for yourself. Also, on teh birth control, you can stop using protection but just remember there is still that 6% possibility of getting pregnant. According to my doctor, if you were to use birth control your entire life, you will have at least one pregnancy no matter how well you follow the directions to use the birth control. By using the condom and the birth control you almost eliminate the odds of becoming pregnant. By not using protections anymore, you can still get pregnant. Ask yourself if it is still possible to have time to do everything in your life if you were to accidently conceive a child. It happens. So all in all, I think you and your boyfriend need to have a LONG talk. It is better to be safe than sorry.

If you're not comfortable starting a conversations about this, tell him you want to ask him something and you feel uneasy about the subject. Then you can write down what you want to say and let him read it, then he can bring it up to you. I don't think he has something, I think he's just being a little over protective, and there is nothing wrong with that. You have a good man. You should definitely go get tested and have unprotected sex, but continue to use birth control. If he has nothing to hide, he shouldn't have a problem with it. He'll probably be a little aggrivated by the subject at first, but if he's resonable he'll understand where you're coming from and go right along with it.

Well, condoms and birth control do not stop pregnancy from happening. I would still use one or the other.
Maybe the thought of you becoming pregnant scares him and that is why he still wants to use condoms.
I would just sit him down and ask him or the next time you buy condoms together say "Do we really need these? I am on birth control, you know..." or something to that matter.

Might be you have one of the most responsible men out there....neither condoms or Birth Control works 100%. Plus there are a million stories out there of women going off birth control to get pregnant in order to trap the men. Tons of stories of condoms ripping, guy taking them of in the middle of the act to Trap thier girls. Why tempt fate?

It is my opinion that you should continue using both forms of BC until you're married. There is always the chance that you could get pregnant on the pill if you are not using a back-up method. Unless you're 100% ready for an unplanned pregnancy, why take that risk?

hi.
don't be upset with him he is thinking about you and himself. just because he is still using condoms after a year doesn't necessarily mean that he has something to hide. or that he is keeping anything major from you. it could mean that he want to be double sure that you don't get pregnant. or that he just wants to be safe for the both of you.

If we are in love, then I insist on not using them, usually after about a month. But that is bad advice. It is NEVER safe to go unprotected, no matter how much you love and trust your partner.
If by "ok" you mean safe, then the answer is never.

no he probably doesn't have anything. he probably just doesn't want to worry about you getting pregnant, by using birth control AND a condom he feels less worried.

specific I do think of it may be ok so which you would be able to talk this along with her. a woman her age needs to be attentive to this stuff and observe of what could take place if she isn't careful. yet i think of the porn could wait, definately. She's basically 13 and needs to be attentive to the basics of intercourse
