Give him the same reasons you mentioned there.. Babies are expensive, time-consuming yet wonderful to have. They cost a whole lotta of a lot..
I think ur reason is a very wise one. You don't want more kids and it's not really smart to have kids without insurance. What if they get sick, for that matter what if YOU get sick and need to be hospitalized??
You gave good reasons, so go ahead n tell it to him. Why would he think ur messing around, that's an issue of trust.. Your reasons are wise and of wanting to take future precautions that will affect ur pocketbook etc etc which i find very responsible....

Planned parenthood can offer you birth control very cheap. just tell them you have no insurance. I used to get it for $9.00 a month.
Or you can tell him exactly what you said here. You need to start using protection because you don't want any more kids and you can't afford birth control pills. If he loves and respects you, he shouldn't automatically think you are messing around by asking him to use protection. Which I'm not sure why your messing around would mean he would need to use a condom anyway........

Straight out, I don't want anymore kids and I want you to use protection, simple. If you are in the United States, there are state funded clinics that you can get birth control for free. County health departments. You can get birth control pills, depo shot, condoms, etc. Look in your local phone book.

Then go to the health dept. tell him you don't want anymore babies and that he has to start to use a condome plain and simple directly to the point and don't beat around the bush about it if he trust you then he will not accuse you of anything but if you had cheated on him in the past then he will question your motives.

If you are sure that you don't want anymore kids in the future, you can try sterilisation.
As for planning to have kids in the future, try other contraceptive methods.
Tell him that either he uses protection or you won't do it. Fair trade huh?

there is this stuff called VCF vaginal contraceptive film that is very inexpensive and you can buy it over the counter. No doctors prescription needed . It works. It is orderless and tasteless. You just insert one 5 minutes before you go to town.

Just be honest with him and the question of cheating shouldn't even come up unless cheating has happened in the past.
