Reverend Haggard, who recently resigned amid scandal with a male prostitute says he's now "completely heterosexual" after 3 weeks of intensive counseling. I pray for him, but is it possible that he's cured so quickly?

Oh yeah, sure. And what about his preference for crystal meth? Or, is that handled under a separate recovery program? Or, what about his desire to lie about everything? Will he be going to Liars Anonymous?

I wonder what the chances are of the Reverend Haggard helping to heal this other anti-gay Southern Baptist preacher, Rev. Lonnie Latham (from the Southern Baptist "Executive Committee"), who was arrested for trying to hire an undercover police officer for sex:

Well, we might never know the real truth, but there is a possibility that he will continue to struggle with his feelings for the rest of his life. Poor guy. I think it's sad that his church fired him. Aren't Christians not supposed to judge?

Absolutely NOT!! However, we Christians know that you can have any thoughts or wants and if they are sins then as long as you don't act on them, then you are fine. I mean as long as Haggard doesn't act on any sexually immoral behavior then he is forgiven. Jesus said to forgive 77 X 7 times.

He always was. He made choices to be involved in sin. Now he is trying to repent of it.

Thank God that He redeems us from any and all of our sins. No matter who we are and what we have done.

I doubt it. The therapy, if it works at all, would take a long time.
