You really don't have to 'season' a stainless steel fry pan like
you would a wok.

Put some Peanut oil in it, heat it up and with a heavy wad of paper towels, smear the oil all over it, so every part is covered.

Then take is off. Wash the oil out with water. Dry it and you are ready to cook.

Use Peanut oil because it has no flavor but it has the highest
smoking temperature for cooking things really fast.

You can season a cast iron frying pan or any stone bake ware, but not a stainless steel frying pan. It's done over time as grease and oils are absorbed by the pan or stone, you do not use soap on these tools either 'cause they can absorb the flavor of the soap...to clean use hot water and baking soda.

I agree with answer 1. Heat your pan with a couple of tablespoons of oil and a good sprinkling of salt, (on a reasonably high setting), for about 2 minutes, then wipe out well with kitchen towel. Thereafter, never wash the inside - just wipe out with kitchen towels whilst still hot. If you wash the inside, it will have to be "re-proved".
