can ms office be downloaded for free?

The only way to download MS office for free is either to get a trial (60/90 days only), or a pirated version, but you really don't want to use them. Old ones get no updates and the new ones are horrible (and in the future with security updates they won't be able to do anything at all)

Instead, download this one, it's absolutely free and it does the same job as MS office, I've been using it for a while now and it's not too different. They have their own format, but if you go to "Save As" you can save it in MS office formats if you need to.
http://www.openoffice.org/ It has a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, database, contact manager, web page maker and drawing software. The layout is a little different, but if you're used to office software, it won't take you long to adjust.

Good luck ^_^

No, you can not. You can download a 60 day trial for Office 2007 though. A free alternative to Office is OpenOffice.org

No, the best you can get is a trial version that expires.

You have to buy office.
