yeah. Usually they don't. i have been teaching Koreans English language and part of it is conversation. In these three years of conversation with them, I have never heard them say about something bad about their country. If I learned something bad, it would come from my observation.

Anyway, I think they are protecting their culture in a positive way. Koreans unite in opinion and in almost everything. They don't want to say anything that would cause shame to their fellowmen and country. Lastly, they are not honest enough to other people about how bad things can go in their country. But anyway, they have good culture to understand. You better find it out.

Robert r. You made me laugh. It is dusty history by now what you talk. Or are you confused with North Korea??

It is kinda funny what I am going to say but I am saying anyway. Koreans (Especially government ppl) don't know when they have to shu* their mouth and talk.

If you have time buy Korea-herald newspaper. READ IT! You will have your answer.

as a rule they are not allowed the priveledge of free speech, any of them that do speak out against the govt are usually executed very quickly, thus eliminating any dissadence.. in essense its the perfecr example of george orwells 1984. korea is probably the worst one on earth in regards to basic freedoms.

Does any country publically admit their mistakes or failings? The US certainly doesn't for starters.
