I feel tired and unmotivated, can't sleep properly, feel like i cant relax because there is always something that needs to be done. My mind is constantly racing and feel that even though I do my best to please everyone it's never enough and I can't keep up. I think i'm in serious need of some me time and perhaps a vacation which i havent taken in three years. Job is very unethical and am constantly working 3 different positions at once with no raise since last yr. Another job is in the works but I would like to know some tips or advice as to how to remedy some of these feelings before I start another job. (I also worked an 11pm to 7 am shift at a hotel for two years prior which also could be the reason my sleep cycle is very off as I used to sleep during the day and be working the overnights. Could this be burnout or depression? It's taking it's toll on my and my relationship as well as my family.

Also should mention we bought a house about a yr ago so we are on a very strict budget which has not allowed for pretty much anything other than groceries for awhile and we rescued a dog who had never been trained before or had any proper manners so we trained him ourselves but it was added stress as well to take on a yr old dog that had been taught everything wrong.

take a week off in between the two jobs. Go somewhere where u can get away. Have everything majorly important taken care of. Only do what u like and if u do what u don't like im gonna come kick ur butt. Make no plans but do things u like. Remember the people that don't have food that don't have a place to live that have lost the people most important to you. Don't make any phone calls to anyone except to let them know u are ok. Sleep. Think about your relationship and how much he means to you and why u are with him. Enjoy yourself try to avoid people for 3 days straight. You will return with a new appreciation for humanity. It works for many people. Sometimes you just need to breathe. Its breathe or snap and go crazy like for real girlie take a break. You will return relaxed energized and your feelings will have returned. Do this...having some alcohol to relax if you are of age sometimes helps to. Like a drink not the whole thing. Okay go...

Sounds like a vacation is definitely in order. Even if it would be rough on your budget, you should make it a priority. Talk it over with your guy, and let him know what you're thinking. I work 8-3am at a bar and don't ever expect to have a normal sleep cycle again, but my Doctor does give me sleep medicine to ensure I can establish some normalcy to my routine. Maybe this would help you.
you shouldn't be so quick to lump yourself into the depression category. If you still feel this way after relax a bit, talk to a doctor. For years, I had a similar thing with needing to get everything done now, and obsessing over things that weren't finished up, and it turned out to be ADHD (for crap's sake)! Not that you are, but there could be tons of reasons for your feelings.
Good luck to you, and I really hope you get your time off!!

This does not sound like depression, but burn out. You are definitely overdoing things. You need to take a holiday or some time out for yourself. Don't take on any more jobs. Sounds as though you are very overactive which may have something to do with your thyroid, or you just maybe that sort of person. If you keep going like that, you may end up with ME, and then be unable to do anything. Over active adrenal glands. Calm down and take life more slowly.

Slow down! You're headed toward burnout fast and may already be there. Burnout definitely causes depression. You have to take some time for yourself. The best thing could be to go on some anti-depressants, just to get yourself out of this. I don't mean that you necessarily need them long term, but they could help you out of the 'mud'.

Depression is present even without any of the challenges you are facing. It seems like you may need a life change. Sounds like you are in the wrong job. It also seems like you are class A personality JUST LIKE ME and we have to have everthing just perfect. You should TAKE TIME OFF and evaluate your life. Look for another job maybe. Let yourself NOT CORRECT everything. It is hard and I have dealt with this for years BUT you can do it.

i think your burnt out and stressed out. you do need some you time. even if you cant take a vacation, go to the movies or have dinner with a friend or by yourself. get away from the everyday people and everyday things. its hard to leave work at work when it has so much to do with things at home but try your best to do that. maybe go to a day spa or something. you just need to relax and free your mind

Sleep problmes can lead to depression and irritablity and they in turn can affect your sleep, and all this can affect your relationship. Get out of that job and take a vacation before you join the new job so that your batteries get recharged.
Since you seem to be quite aware of your problems, I will leave it to you to seek the help of appropriate health professional if needed.

I think it is a side effect of living in this world that we are living in and trying to satisfy everyones expectations, we gave our country to Japan and now we want to educate our kids with longer school days to keep up with them, if our leaders weren't so ??? perhaps things would change.
