I have found no such conflict. I eat mostly vegetables, some whole grains, fish and chicken, a few fruits, and I take a handful of supplements. No conflicts at all. Read my diabetes info page for more help: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/Type_II_Diabetes.html

Maybe try to speak to a dietician and get them to work out a diet plan for you
even just speak to your local doctor, they should know your medical histroy and suggest a diet that will work for you
I find it strange though that cholestrol would conflict in a diabetic diet

In that both diets should be high in vegetables and fibre and low in sugar, salt and fat I dont see how they can conflict. However, you can try www.diabetesaustralia.com I know they have great info on diet there.
