The pup shouldn't have really left it's mother at 5 wks it wont have been properly weaned. This maybe why your pup has an upset stomach because it isn't used to food. I would go to a vet as soon as possible as young puppies can dehydrate very quickly and make sure that it isn't anything more serious.

at 5 weeks it should still be drinking from its mum mostly shouldn't it so diarrhoea may occur if pup has eaten too much of mums food. Is it on puppy food? Don't give it milk from the carton.
Blue heelers will eat anything. These are working dogs, I hope you are on a farm or you can expect to do alot of running around with this little fella.

No, it is not normal and you need to take it to the vet right away. There are too many things that can cause it and your vet will need to figure out which one it is.A pup of such a young age will go down hill very fast from dehydration. Could be parvo or something else very serious. It's not something to be ignored that's for sure. Take him today.It could also be something simple as what your feeding it but take no chances with something that could be deadly.

How many episodes of diarrhea are we talking about? A one time incident even for a 5 wk old is not all that alarming, but a recurrence, would have me sheduling an appointment with the Vet..
