did i completely misread her?

ok. girl at work. hot funny, generally amazing to hang out with. we get on well and I'm developing a bit of crush.
a bunch of us from work go out one night. she gets drunk, tells me I'm a "great mate" an goes off with some knuckle dragger.
naturally I'm crushed but i get over it and have started seeing another bird.
ever since she found out i'm seeing someone, work bird has been snippy, grumpy and sometimes outright hostile with me. what that about ? did she want to be with me after all or something? any ideas?

Oh gawd, women.
Ask her out for a drink after work one night - as "mates" and try to talk to her about it. It sounds like she might have a thing for you all right, but didn't know how to act on it;went off with the knuckle dragger to pique you - maybe she was waiting for you to make a move and got peeved when you didn't, and now that you have met someone, is annoyed at you and at herself cos she missed an opportunity too.
Faint heart never won fair lady. Make it seem like it's a chat about work when you ask her for a coffee/drink/whatever. You will never know if you don't ask. Tell her you had thought of asking her out on a date, but weren't sure how she would take it; then say to her;
"would I have been wasting both our time?"
At worst, she'll be flattered.
At best, she might say.."I'd have said yes..."
go for it

We females can be a complicated species! I would hazard a guess that she wants you to like her but doesn't want to actually be with you herself. If your attentions are now being focused elsewhere then you are not giving her as much flirty attention as she was used to - not to be confused with her actually having a genuine crush on you - sorry.

However, it could also be that she now realises that she likes you after you have become unavailable but you may find that her affections dwindle if you were to be single again. You always want what you cant have.

However, dipping your nib in the office ink is a risky business and best avoided as it will be very awkward if you split up, or if you outright confess your crush and you find out it is unreciprocated. You could always ask her in private why she has got a cob on with you and see where the conversation progresses. If it is meant to be, it will be. Good luck x

The pitch became doing slightly in first a million/2 and hour or so. different than that no longer something incorrect with the wicket. It became greater of the bowlers from the two aspects bowling with great accuracy. As this has been a low scoring sport in view that Australia lost 3 or 4 wickets the bowlers arise with the money for to be very aggressive.

I think she has realized her mistake - that you are a GREAT mate and she should have acted on that. She's kicking herself now and she's taking her personal frustration out on you.
I don't think you misread her...we women sometimes do crazy things when we drink.
I don't know how close your are with this new girl, but if you still like the young lady at work, perhaps you should talk to her. Get everything out in the open.
Sounds to me like a classic case of "you don't know what you have until it's gone". I think she does like you....
Good luck! :-)

Weird ain't it...clearly she's interested, but in the end, goes off with the knuckle dragger. And she probably always will...go figure!?

Women are taught from an early age that they
are supposed to be pursued and competed for.

You aren't playing the game. Get with it, man!

Yes, apparently 100 years of feminism meant
nothing.

Who knows. Why don't you just talk to her? Talk to her about her behavior (e.g. being grumpy and hostile) and how you feel it has affected your relationship, especially in the context of your feelings (you HAVE to put yourself on the line here, if you ever want to know the truth) and feeling like she might have been interested in more than friendship too...

I agree with Annie. Communication is everything. Us girls can be a bit of an enigma sometimes! We often don't understand ourselves you know. Just ask her what's going on.
