Personally, I think i've had a considerable increase in growth rate with a biotin (vitamin) supplement and coconut oil. I grew my hair out from an inch long to 9 inches (total of 8 inches) in a year which is 2 inches more than the average growth rate...and i won't claim its genetics cos' in the past my hair has not grown this fast
( the biotin can get expensive,,but it improves the general condition of ur skin too,,gives u the positive glow that makes the ladies swoon :) Good luck, amigo

Well, its not good to use oil or grease on hair for long periods of time. If the first, second, or third ingredient in the oil or grease is petroluem or mineral oil, you are clogging your pores with and unhealthy gloob of stuff. This can stop your hair from growing. Also, you must follow the most important rule of all: WASH YOUR HAIR AT LEAST ONCE EVERY WEEK!!! Im not saying go wash it every day, but dont wait a month before washing your hair. If you wash it about once a week, this will clean your hair of unhealthy dirt and anything else stunting the growth of your hair....HOPE I COULD HELP!!

TO HAVE THICK FAST HAIR, STRONG FROM THE ROOTS, DON'T ACCEPT HAIR LOSS.
Use "Segals" Brand 'Advanced Shampoo for Thinning Hair' and 'Advanced Conditioner for Thinning Hair'. For dense, strong and healthy re-growth of hair from roots with a better texture and to arrest premature Hair Fall use "Segals" brand 'Hair Root Formula' and 'Advanced Hair Root Supplement'.

Don't use any shampoos containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocoamide, Propylene Glycol.
The faster way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made; that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth
