1. on the back of the licenses (drivers license or ID) do all states in the USA have the black magnetic information strip?

2. do any states have different colored licenses for drunk driving or other serious crimes?

3. do any states provide a thumb print on the license or ID?

Very curious....someone told me that all states have this info on the licenses and ID's - I have a license but it is not one of the newer versions - will be when I go to get it renewed. Thanks for your responses

California has a black strip, but I can't help you with your other questions.

Each state's ID info is different. I don't have all that either. Whoever said that to is wrong, that's all. I know Georgia has everything, like an fbi file on the back and finger print too, for example. Lots are doing the turn profiles for under age drinkers too.

Not in WI. we have the mag strip, but nothing else, and I just renewed a few months ago.

We do have different colors around the pics concerning age however...orange for under 21 - green for over 21. apparently the cops can't read in our state, they need a glowing neon sign to tell them right away how old you are.

In Ohio, people with DUI convictions often have yellow plates with red numbers.

My driver's license has had the magnetic strip for years now.

All we've got in WA is a barcode on the back. No thumb print. Issued in 2004.
