yes it is for horses. but it works so good. i think its made for people with good hair though. my father is biracial, and thats all he uses is mane'n tail products. and his hair grows rapidly.

Mane N Tail is amazing... yet to lots of it to in lots of instances might reason some peoples hair to grow to be oily and could be rotated in and out with different shampoos and conditioners to shrink this effect

Yes, I have tried it - and the conditioner too. I live in a humid climate and it tamed the frizzies for a while, but I didn't notice faster growth. Like most products I've tried though, it worked well for a while then seemed to quit. Perhaps it's a buildup, but I switch to other products frequently.
In the old days you had to buy M&T at the feed store, now I've seen it stocked at some drugstores and supermarkets.

Trust me it really is only for horses. It build up on my hair so bad that I couldn't comb it. It was a craze about 20 years ago and it sold out everywhere. Rumor was it made your hair grow really fast. We just figured after using it that it built up and made your hair heavier, which appeared to be longer. Maybe some other Yahoo's will give you a different perspective.

I never tried it, but my friend who has pretty, long, straight hair recommended it to my teacher and class. She says it grows stronger and longer... Give it a shot, cause i would.

I've never used it, but I have heard that if you have coarse hair that it really softens it.
